The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan

Percy’s life was spectacular until...

Percy is a kid who has his low grades in school. He has been kicked out of EVERY school.

After he defeats

a monster who is his pre-algebra teacher, things are very weird and scary. He is now the one.

He defeated a lord of death who is a half man, half bull who’s the Minotaur and the minotaur killed Percy’s mom.

He goes to a camp to defeat monsters, and gets a quest to kill a monster after the other kids find out he is the son of the god of the sea.
