Wicked Lovely has been recommended and reviewed all over the place. I put it on my must read list. What began as a blend of Twilight and Fablehaven ended up being ok. Aislinn (pronounced ashlin, I think, because other characters call her Ash) can see fairies that no one else can see. She has a friend Seth who is absolutely crazy about her, but she can’t see that. The real world and fairy world collide, yet Ash gets to have the both of best. I just couldn’t get through the sappy language between the humans, and the fairies dialing up each other on their cell phones. Girls in 7th grade and above will probably love this book. Especially with the blend of Twilight’s tension and Fablehaven’s fairies. There are a couple uses of strong language, but they are teachable moments-”why would the author choose to have her characters use THIS language at THIS point in the story?”
